Pito Child Safety Standards
Pito, the Kurdish games and social app developed by Rozhyar Ali Kamal, has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and the grooming of children. This page sets out what is prohibited, how to report it, and what Pito does when it learns of it.
Accounts involved are permanently banned, the material is removed and preserved as evidence, and confirmed child sexual abuse material is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline and to the relevant authorities.
What is prohibited
- Any image, video, text or sticker that sexualises a child, including drawn, edited or AI-generated material.
- Grooming: contacting a child to build trust for sexual purposes, asking a child for photos, asking a child to keep a conversation secret, or arranging to meet a child.
- Sexual conversation with, or sexual content sent to, anyone under 18.
- Sharing, requesting, advertising or linking to child sexual abuse material anywhere, including chat, game chat, snaps, Spotlight posts, stories, comments, usernames, bios and profile pictures.
- Sextortion, trafficking, or any other exploitation of a child.
How to report
- In the app: open the report menu on the account, message, post, story, comment or sticker and choose «مەترسی بۆ منداڵان» (Child safety). Reports are confidential; the reported person is never told who reported them.
- By email: safety@pito.games — include the person's friend code (shown under their name) and what happened. Do not send the image itself.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first.
What Pito does
- A child-safety report on a Spotlight post or story from a trusted account hides it at once and alerts the Pito team immediately.
- Material confirmed as child sexual abuse material is removed from public view, preserved securely as evidence, and blocked by its digital fingerprint so the same file cannot be uploaded again.
- The accounts involved are permanently banned, together with their devices.
- Confirmed child sexual abuse material is reported to the NCMEC CyberTipline, which works with law enforcement worldwide, and to the relevant authorities where required.
- Pito cooperates with lawful requests from law enforcement and keeps the relevant evidence until a case is closed.
Age rules and protections
- Every account declares a date of birth, and features follow the declared age.
- Spotlight — public posts, public stories and Discover — is available only to accounts aged 13 and over. Accounts under 13 can play games and use stories with their friends only.
- Adults who are not friends cannot comment on, reply to or mention the content of 13–17-year-olds, and 13–17-year-olds cannot do so to adults who are not their friends.
- The public posts and stories of 13–17-year-olds are not shown in Discover to adults who are not their friends.
- Only friends can comment on a story, and message requests from people who are not friends allow plain text only until they are accepted.
