Who runs Pito, how to reach us, and how to report a problem — for players, parents, rights holders and authorities. A short summary in Kurdish is at the end of this page.

Who runs Pito

The Pito app and the pito.games website are made and operated by Rozhyar Ali Kamal, an independent developer based in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The same name appears as the seller of Pito on the App Store and Google Play, and is the data controller described in our Privacy Policy.

Contact points

One address handles everything, and every message is read by a person, not only by automated tools.

We answer as quickly as we can. Reports about a child's safety, or about a risk to someone's life, are handled first.

Reporting illegal or harmful content

The quickest way is the report button in the App. If you cannot use it — for example because you do not have an account — email pito@pito.games with:

  1. where the content is: the username or friend code, and what it is (a post, story, comment, message, profile picture, username or drawing). A screenshot helps;
  2. why you believe it is illegal or breaks our Community Guidelines;
  3. your name and email address (you may leave these out if you are reporting child sexual abuse material);
  4. a statement that you believe, in good faith, that your report is accurate and complete.

We review every notice and reply to the address it came from. When we act on content or an account, we tell the affected user what we did and why where we can, unless that would put someone at risk or the law forbids it. Anyone who thinks we got it wrong can appeal within 30 days, as described in our Terms of Service. Knowingly false reports may lead to action against the reporting account.

Children: see our Child Safety Standards. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first. Confirmed child sexual abuse material is reported to the NCMEC CyberTipline and to the relevant authorities.

If something in Pito uses your work, your trademark or your image without permission, email pito@pito.games with the details listed in Section 14 of our Terms: who you are, what right is affected, where the content appears, and a good-faith statement that the use is not authorised. We review valid notices promptly, may remove the content and tell the user who posted it, and end the accounts of repeat infringers.

Requests from authorities

We respond to valid legal requests from competent authorities. Please send them from an official address to pito@pito.games, naming the account (username or friend code), the legal basis for the request, and the information needed. In an emergency involving a risk of death or serious injury, write “Emergency” in the subject. We may preserve an account's data while a request is processed, as described in Section 14 of our Terms.

Accessibility

We want pito.games to work for everyone, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, zoom or high contrast. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

Known limitations: the animated phone pictures on the homepage and the Spotlight page are illustrations and are hidden from screen readers; the text beside them describes the same features. A few demos, such as the friend-code builder, show the App's real colours, and some of those colour pairs have lower contrast than we use for the website's own text. Thumbnails of our TikTok and Instagram posts are labelled with their captions.

How we check: automated testing (axe-core) of every page at desktop and phone sizes, last run on October 6, 2026, with the problems it found fixed the same day.

Names, logos and trademarks

The names “Pito” and “پیتۆ”, the Pito logo, and the App's games, art and content belong to Rozhyar Ali Kamal. Traditional games such as chess, backgammon (Tawla), dominoes, Okey and billiards are not owned by anyone; Pito's versions are its own.

Apple, the Apple logo and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC. TikTok and Instagram are trademarks of their owners. These names are used only to point to Pito's pages on those services; Pito is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Apple, Google, TikTok or Meta.

Fonts: Kurdish text is set in Pito Sans, Pito's own typeface built from Noto Kufi Arabic, and Latin text in Poppins. Both are licensed under the SIL Open Font Licence 1.1 (Pito Sans licence).

Security

If you find a security problem in Pito, please email pito@pito.games with “Security” in the subject and enough detail for us to reproduce it. Please do not access other people's data, disrupt the service, or share the problem publicly before we have had a reasonable chance to fix it. We welcome reports from researchers who follow these rules. Machine-readable details are in security.txt.
