Mafia Party Game

Mafia

A social deduction night-and-day party game for 6–12 players. Hidden roles, secret kills, daytime debate, and a final vote. Hand-the-phone play hosted by one player.

🎭 The Roles

M

Mafia

Each night, the Mafia secretly pick one player to kill. They know each other; the town does not. They win when their numbers equal the rest.

D

Detective

Each night, secretly check one player — the host reveals whether they are Mafia or not. Use the clue carefully during the day.

P

Doctor

Each night, protect one player from the Mafia's kill. You can’t protect the same person two nights in a row.

C

Civilian, Mayor & Vigilante

Civilians win by voting out every Mafia. The Mayor's daytime vote counts double. The Vigilante can secretly kill once per night — careful, hitting a townsperson hurts the town.

📖 How to Play

1

Roles Are Dealt

At the start, no one knows who got which role. The phone is passed around, each player privately sees their role — Mafia, Civilian, or a special role like Doctor, Detective, Mayor, or Vigilante — then taps to hide it.

2

Night Falls

Everyone closes their eyes. The host (the phone) wakes each special role one by one — Mafia, Detective, Doctor, Vigilante — and they secretly act on the screen. No talking, no peeking.

3

Day & Discussion

Everyone wakes up. If someone was killed in the night, the phone reveals it. Now the town debates. Who looks suspicious? Who is too quiet? Who do you trust?

4

The Vote

Each player votes to eliminate one suspect. The Mayor's vote counts double. Whoever gets the most votes is out — their role is revealed, then night begins again.

5

Winning Conditions

The Town wins when every Mafia is eliminated. The Mafia wins when their numbers equal or outnumber the rest. Cycle of night and day continues until one side wins.

Tip 🤫: The host (the phone) narrates everything. During the night, only listen to the screen — don’t peek, don’t whisper. The whole game depends on it.
Player count 👥: Mafia plays best with 6–12 players. The host can sit out or play along; phone passes to whoever has a special role.
